Heidelberg Cement Georgia

Task:

Creation of new office design for HEIDELBERG Georgia, which will guarantee simple and fast functioning and will display company products (Sichtbeton) from its best side. Building has to be A-Class office building, disabled friendly and with possibility to use renewable energy.

Location:
Project site is located on right embankment of the river Mtkvari, in Digomi district, Tbilisi, Georgia. Main and only access is from east side, where highway is situated across the river. Plot surfaces is generally flat, only from West side there is slope approximately 6m high. all of it is covered with a lot of greening, which creates excellent garden.

Concept:
This garden is a “treasure” of this plot and we decided to create design with minimal involvement in environment, Main part of office building is located on South less greened side and main facade is oriented to this garden. This solution also gives opportunity for fast moving traffic to better perceive office building.

Project:
Building geometry consists of two main bearing concrete walls, which are cut out with glass boxes. These walls must be executed with best quality of “Sichtbeton”, they create open office space between, which can be freely planned with a lot of excellent combinations. Cut out glass boxes will be hanged between trees and create calm, comfortable environment inside.
Main access to building and Show room is across the garden and is designed in separate glass box, which has decorative water surface around it. This box can be left illuminated at night for commercial purposes. Under main building 2 story of parking is located for 26 vehicles (7 in the front yard), Access to second floor of parking is with elevator.
From main hall you can access offices on 3 following floors, with elevator and stairs. There is also canteen for 40 people and 100 m² of GYM. Kindergarten is designed from West side of building, which is most calm and isolated from main road. There is also access to garden from it.
